The camera for beam-mounted vision is typically mounted underneath the beam of the UV printer. Its scanning speed is very fast — for example, on a 2513 model, scanning a full table takes only about a few tens of seconds. However, it has limitations: a shallow depth of field and limited drop-height tolerance. It generally only scans flat materials within 10mm of height variation, with an accuracy of around 0.2mm.
The camera for side-mounted vision is usually installed on the left side of the printhead carriage. It moves together with the carriage, scanning row by row at close range. On a 2513 model, scanning an entire table takes about two minutes. Compared to beam-mounted vision, carriage-mounted vision has a longer scanning time — but its advantages are more notable. It offers higher accuracy, a larger depth of field, and greater fault tolerance. Positioning accuracy can generally be controlled within 0.1mm. This makes it well-suited for high-precision scanning of products with many Fine lines and rich colors.
