Step 1:Glass surface pretreatment
Deep cleaning
Just because the glass looks clean doesn’t mean it can be printed directly.Handprints, oil films, and dust can affect adhesion. The surface grease and dirt must be wiped off with a degreaser first.
Use a coating suitable for glass
In most UV glass projects,a dedicated coating can significantly enhance adhesion.Apply it completely evenly to avoid local build-up or missed areas.
Confirm that it is dry
If the coating is not fully air-dried,problems such as ink scattering can easily occur after printing.Be sure to wait until the surface is completely dry before starting to print.
Step 2:Software parameter Settings
The mirror output should be consistent with the Better Print logic
One of the most common mistakes is image duplication or image omission. Both mirror and reverse options must be manually checked, and neither can be missing.
Do a partial test first
Before formal printing,it is recommended to conduct small-scale tests in key areas, focusing on edge alignment and whether there are any gaps in the picture.
Step 3:Formal reverse printing process
Ink print sequence
Output the mirror color ink layer first according to the corrected parameters to ensure that the picture details and color relationships are properly positioned.
A white ink spot layer is placed behind the color ink to cover and support the base color, and also serves as a protective layer.
Control print rhythm and curing consistency
We can choose to print in one direction or in both directions.
In our glass reverse printing project,one-way printing is recommended because the mural machine does not shift left and right during the inkjet process, ensuring stable output.
Step 4😛roofing correction to full print
Local testing
Do not judge only under indoor lighting. After printing, try to go to a place with sufficient light to check the printing effect.Color cast, transparency, gimmings and edge quality all need to be noted one by one.
The number of layers of white ink coverage
Many people in project printing think that the more layers of white ink,the better. In fact, too little white ink will show through, and too much will affect the quality of the finished product. The goal of reverse printing is to balance the color, not to thicken blindly.
Lock the parameters before printing
Before printing, you need to fix the core parameters, including speed, pass,UV,power, etc.,to ensure that the project is affected by external factors.
