First, the printhead: Before shutting down each day, use a dedicated lint-free cloth sprayed with a specialized cleaning solution to gently dab the surface of the printhead. Remember, it's dabbing, not wiping. Why? The nozzles on the printhead surface are finer than a strand of hair. If you use the wrong method or wipe with a dirty cloth, you will immediately clog the nozzles or scratch the bottom plate, leading to ink misting or deflected jets.
Second, the guide rail: Clean it once a week with anhydrous alcohol, wiping away all dust and ink particles. Then apply one drop of dedicated guide rail lubricant. Emphasize that it should be just one drop — any more will attract dust and turn into an abrasive paste, which will actually wear down the rail.
Third, the belt: Check the tension. It should be neither too loose nor as tight as a guitar string. Only then will the machine run smoothly, avoiding issues like ghosting or misalignment.
Fourth, the ink cartridge filter: The filter is responsible for removing impurities from the ink. It is recommended to check it every two months. If you notice the color has become darker or dirtier, replace it immediately. Once clogged, ink supply will be hindered, leading to broken lines during printing.
Fifth, the ink: Before changing inks, you must thoroughly flush the entire ink path with cleaning solution. Different ink series can produce flocculent sediment. This gel-like substance will directly clog the printhead — to the point where even cleaning cannot save it.
