In the daily operation of our UV printers, paying attention to the following points can help your printhead last many more years.
First: During production, we recommend that customers purge the ink frequently — approximately once every two to three hours. However, during the purging process, do not purge continuously for extended periods, as excessive purging pressure can cause perforation damage to the printhead.
Second: When printing on mirror-like products, be sure to take anti-reflection measures. For example, apply black car wrap film underneath the product.
Third: Before changing the ink, it is best — highly recommended — to thoroughly flush the ink path clean, to prevent any residual sediment from the previous bottle of ink remaining in the lines.
Fourth: Never be tempted to bargain-hunt and buy low-quality, cheap UV ink.
Fifth: When not in production, do not power off the machine. Instead, turn on the "spit" (intermittent spitting) function in the machine's software.
These are all small details in daily production, but if you don't pay attention to these small details, they will inevitably lead to big mistakes down the line.
