The differences between machines at these two price points are as follows:
First, the difference in printheads.
A machine priced at 80,000–90,000 usually comes with just one Epson I3200 printhead, which costs around 10,000 RMB. In contrast, a machine priced at 180,000–190,000 is equipped with industrial-grade printheads — such as Ricoh G6 — with four or five printheads on the whole machine. The cost for these printheads alone is around 60,000–70,000 RMB. This creates a price difference of about 50,000–60,000 RMB between the two.
Second, the difference in machine frame construction.
Inexpensive equipment typically uses aluminum profiles, while expensive equipment uses steel structures.
Third, the difference in motors and software.
Inexpensive equipment often uses low-cost domestic motors and, wherever possible, belts instead of ball screws. Expensive equipment, on the other hand, uses imported motors or even magnetic levitation linear motors, and some brands use three linear motors for both the X and Y axes. On the software side, cheap machines often run cracked or pirated software, while expensive machines use genuine, licensed software.
Fourth, the difference in service quality.
Manufacturers producing cheap machines are typically small factories with very poor after-sales service systems. Manufacturers producing expensive machines are mostly large factories with complete, well-established after-sales service systems and service centers across the country. This means that if your machine has a problem, they can resolve it for you immediately.
So, expensive has its reasons — don't try to save a little money only to end up with big losses.
