Tanyu has introduced an upgraded version of its TWF1000, bringing fluorescent printing to a machine designed for both wall and floor applications. The company describes it as the first wall and floor printer to support fluorescent printing effects, adding another specialty printing option to the growing wall printing market.
For users following the Wall Printer Community, the release is notable because the machine is no longer limited to standard CMYK and white ink printing. Fluorescent ink and varnish can now be added for projects that need stronger visual effects.
Fluorescent Printing Creates Two Different Visual Effects
The upgraded TWF1000 can be configured with fluorescent ink.
Under normal lighting, the printed image keeps its regular appearance. When the printed area is exposed to UV or black light, selected fluorescent areas become much brighter and more noticeable.
This makes the effect useful for bars, gaming rooms, themed restaurants, exhibitions, events, entertainment spaces, and retail interiors.
A mural can therefore have one appearance during normal daytime use and another under special lighting.
The fluorescent effect can also be combined with standard color and white ink. On dark surfaces, white ink can work as a base layer to help the printed colors remain visible.
Varnish Adds Gloss and Surface Contrast
The TWF1000 also supports optional varnish printing.
Varnish is transparent, so it does not add another color to the image. Instead, it changes how the printed surface reflects light.
It can be applied across a larger printed area or only to selected parts such as logos, text, patterns, or decorative details.
This makes it possible to create glossy highlights and stronger contrast between different parts of the same design.
Fluorescent ink and varnish serve different purposes, but both expand what a wall and floor printer can produce beyond a standard full-color image.
One Machine for Walls, Floors, and More Materials
The TWF1000 is designed to switch between vertical wall printing and horizontal floor printing.
It can also work with different materials depending on the project and required surface treatment. These can include wood, metal, glass, tile, PVC, painted panels, and other flat materials.
For some smooth or non-absorbent surfaces, proper coating or pretreatment may still be needed before printing.
The addition of fluorescent ink and varnish gives print service providers more options for commercial decoration, branded spaces, exhibitions, entertainment projects, and custom interior work.
The release also shows how wall printing equipment is moving beyond basic mural production. New machines are beginning to combine standard printing with specialty effects that were once more common in other areas of UV printing.
