Friankor has announced two new wall printing functions: fluorescent ink printing and varnish printing. The company specializes in digital wall printing equipment and introduced the update after extended R&D and application testing. The update expands what a wall printer can do beyond standard CMYK and white ink. (National Law Review)
For users following the Wall Printer Community, the most interesting change is how these functions affect the final visual result.

Fluorescent Ink for Different Lighting Effects
The Friankor MK01 Wall Printer now supports fluorescent red, green, and orange ink.
Under normal indoor lighting, the mural keeps its regular colors and details. Under UV light, selected fluorescent areas become much more visible and create a different appearance. (National Law Review)
This makes the function useful for bars, gaming rooms, themed restaurants, exhibitions, lifestyle stores, and other spaces where lighting is part of the design.
A single mural can therefore produce two different visual experiences without changing the printed image.

Varnish Adds Gloss and Visual Depth
Friankor has also added varnish printing to the MK01 Wall Printer and MK02 Wall and Floor Printer.
Varnish is transparent. It can cover the whole image or only selected areas such as logos, lettering, patterns, and design details. (National Law Review)
The result can add gloss, stronger reflection, and more visible surface depth. The feature can also be used on materials such as glass, tile, metal, and wood.
This brings a finishing method already used in many UV ink printing applications into vertical wall printing.
The update shows an interesting direction for wall printers. They are no longer limited to reproducing digital images on walls. Specialty inks and finishing layers are giving wall printing businesses more ways to create different visual effects for commercial and decorative projects.
