Printhead clogging is a common issue when using a wall printer. It may cause missing ink, broken lines, faded colors, or incomplete color output. But before judging it as a clogged printhead, always check the ink supply, ink level, and ink path first.
A simple nozzle test or line test before printing is very important. If the test lines are complete, the machine is ready to print. If there are broken lines or missing colors, clean or purge the printhead first and test again.
To reduce clogging problems, use original UV ink that matches the machine and printhead. Do not mix different ink brands directly. For white ink, regular circulation and stirring are important because white ink settles more easily.
The distance between the printhead and the wall also matters. If the printhead is too close, it may touch the wall and collect dust, wall particles, or wet ink. If it is too far, the print result may become blurry. Always check the wall surface before printing.
Outdoor printing also needs attention. Strong sunlight can make ink residue near the printhead dry or cure faster, so avoid long printing under direct sunlight when possible.
After each print job, clean the printhead surface properly and keep the capping area clean. If the machine will not be used for a while, keep the printhead moisturized and run maintenance when needed.
If cleaning and purging do not solve the problem, do not scrape or disassemble the printhead by yourself. It is safer to contact technical support and check whether the issue comes from the ink path, ink condition, settings, or printhead damage.
Good daily maintenance helps keep the wall printer stable, reduces downtime, and avoids unnecessary repair costs.
